This play is about work. Work-a-day work-a-day work-a-day work. Work-a-day work-a-day work-a-day work. Rise and shine! Work til you die! Or til you hungry! Or ‘til the boss says it’s time to go home. And then stick a knife in his throat. Everybody dies. Work good work good work good. This play is about work.

This is the odd story of best friends, Paula and Shiny Ears, who find themselves trapped in a timeless, referenceless cemetery. They sit and take in the picturesque and bleak surroundings while smoking, cooking and playing. Paula’s underlying worries about Shiny Ears desire to imminently disappear rise from the babbling nostalgic tales the two friends tell one another.
